What began as an invitation to enjoy a day of friendly competition and philanthropy turned into a powerful show of community support, bringing golfers, volunteers and sponsors together for children and families across Greater Houston.
On Nov. 12, 2025, Upbring welcomed nearly 100 golfers, along with 29 dedicated volunteers and generous sponsors, to BlackHorse Golf Club in Cypress for its annual Houston Golf Tournament. Together, you helped raise more than $60,000 to benefit children and families served through Foster In Texas (FIT), Head Start preschools and BeREAL Supervised Independent Living (SIL).
The day was filled with connection and camaraderie, from closest-to-the-pin, longest drive and hole-in-one contests to an exciting raffle featuring gift cards, themed baskets and golf packages. Beyond the fun on the course, the true highlight was the shared commitment to making a difference for children and families in our community.
Where Your Support Makes a Difference
Because of your generosity, the impact of the Houston Golf Tournament reaches far beyond the course. It shows up in classrooms, foster homes and the lives of young adults taking their first steps toward independence.
For children in foster care, Foster In Texas (FIT) provides safe, supportive homes and a team that walks beside them, helping ensure every child experiences safety, belonging and hope when they need it most.
In classrooms across our community, Head Start preschools give young learners the chance to build confidence in safe, nurturing environments that prepare them for kindergarten, while families are connected to resources that strengthen stability at home.
And for young adults aging out of foster care, BeREAL Supervised Independent Living offers mentorship, housing support and life-skills coaching that empower them to move forward with confidence and independence, often for the first time.
