Summer may bring a break from the classroom, but it doesn’t pause the challenges many children, young adults, and families face. For many, the season can mean losing the routines, trusted relationships, and support systems that help them thrive during the school year. Thanks to your generosity, Upbring was there every step of the way, ensuring those we serve stayed connected, supported, and prepared for what came next.
Across Texas, your support created opportunities for children, young adults, and families to learn, grow, and build meaningful connections throughout the summer. Young adults in BeREAL Supervised Independent Living (SIL) attended the Texas Network of Youth Services Annual Conference in Austin, where they strengthened leadership skills, connected with peers, and explored opportunities for the future.
Children and families served through our Child Wellbeing Zones found opportunities to connect, belong, and thrive in their communities.
Summer also offered opportunities to celebrate, connect, and prepare for the school year ahead. Head Start programs participated in Operation Safe Return and the Back-to-School Application Roundups, helping families access important resources before the first day of school. Foster In Texas (FIT) families came together through back-to-school events, pizza parties, and community celebrations that strengthened relationships, reduced isolation, and reminded children they are surrounded by people who care.
While each experience looked different, they all reflected the same commitment: ensuring children, young adults, and families had access to the relationships, resources, and opportunities they needed year-round. Whether building confidence, fostering belonging, supporting a child’s health journey, or preparing students for a new school year, your generosity made every moment possible.
Because of you, care didn’t end when school was out—it continued all summer long. Thank you for making year-round care and connection possible. Your generosity helps create brighter futures for those we serve, in every season.
