We are truly overwhelmed with gratitude for the extraordinary generosity of our donors, volunteers, and community partners who made our Hope in Motion 2024 end-of-year giving campaign such an incredible success. Because of your kindness and unwavering support, we were able to bring joy and holiday magic to more than 800 children across Texas—doubling the number of children reached in 2023 and making an even greater impact on young lives.
For more than 20 years, Hope in Motion (Previously known as Angel Tree) has been a beloved tradition, but it is your generosity that makes it come to life. Your heartfelt contributions ensured that children in our programs received wrapped, personalized Christmas gifts, helping them feel valued and celebrated during the holiday season.
Between Nov. 1 and mid-December, more than 35 churches, businesses, and community partners stepped up in incredible ways—displaying Christmas trees adorned with children’s wishlist tags, hosting gift drives, and rallying their communities to give. Your generosity also shined through our virtual wishlists, as many of you fulfilled holiday wishes online. And to our amazing volunteers who wrapped each gift with care and love, we are beyond grateful.
“Upbring had the most welcoming staff,” said volunteer Lindsay Galloway. “It was a wonderful experience, from walking through the doors to wrapping gifts for such a special purpose. I just enjoyed being with the whole crew!”
Upbring employees delivered the gifts to our program offices, which organized Christmas parties with goodies and fun activities. While most gifts went to children in our foster care program, we were also able to send gifts to nine of our Head Start and Early Head Start Preschools, New Life Children’s Center and all young adults in our BeREAL programs.
“The support we received from our volunteers has provided invaluable support to the children and families we serve,” said Logan Robledo, Manager of Communication Engagement, Communications and Volunteers for Upbring. “When delivering the gifts to our Head Start locations, I was able to see first-hand how much impact the gifts had. The smiles and warmth felt are gentle reminders of why everything we do is so important to the children of Texas.”
Because of you, every toy, every warm piece of clothing and every lovingly wrapped gift became a symbol of hope and compassion at a time of year when people often need it the most. You reminded these children that they are deeply loved, not just during the holidays but all year round.
