Houston came together on February 21 for the 2026 “Healing Hearts” Gala, with nearly 300 attendees putting on their finest Casino Royale-themed party with a purpose.
The room was buzzing with excitement, with paddles raised and feet on the dance floor to close out the night. Both a celebration of our community’s generosity and a moment to reflect on the needs of Houston-area children, the evening rallied Upbring supporters who care deeply about stability and hope for local families.
Together, this group raised more than $248,000 to directly support Houston-area programs including Foster In Texas (FIT), BeREAL Supervised Independent Living (SIL), and Head Start Preschools.
They also set a new special appeal record for Houston with a grand total of $96,600 to help young adults aging out of foster care in their community. This total included a special $30,000 matching gift. Donor support at this gala initially helped bring the BeREAL program to Houston, and our community continues to show up to keep it going strong.
