Amelia is a 9-year-old girl living with a foster family in Eastern Europe.

Since being diagnosed with epilepsy in 2017, she has been on Convulex, a permanent anti-epileptic medication which limits her seizures to about once a month.

Her motor skills are well developed. She is able to control her body posture, has good coordination of her movements and balance and good awareness of her body’s position in space compared to other objects. She is still working on her fine motor activity.

Generally, Amelia is in a good mood. She is constantly on the move and doing a variety of activities.

She is working on her speech and vocabulary but can execute simple commands as well as report when she is in pain.

She is in the second grade her elementary school. She is on an individual education plan to focus on her speech and concentration.

Amelia is able to dress and feed herself and she is ready for a forever family.
