Leo
Meet Leo, a radiant four-year-old boy who dreams of one day finding his forever family.
Cerebral palsy, Microcephaly
Leo is a cute and radiant child with a big smile. He is 4 years old and recently lives in an orphanage in Eastern Europe. He was diagnosed with Cerebral palsy and Microcephaly without need for surgery.
Leo can sit for a while in a special chair with support, but he has poor support for his legs. Recently, he has started grabbing rattles with his left hand, holding and waving them around. Sometimes he will turn his head in the direction of certain sounds.
Leo loves listening to music. He will stop his movements for a while and will listen with interest. His emotional tone is good and his mood depends mainly on his physical comfort. He loves to laugh at jokes, in the presence of others and just by himself.
Leo is unable to vocalize combinations of syllables or single words, but the caretakers report that the sounds he expresses depends on his state, needs and desires and eventually if he recognizes a familiar voice.
Leo eats blended food with a bottle and he sleeps peacefully twice a day.
