Beth W. Bruce, CPA, is president of Simplicity Integration, LLC, in Houston, Texas. She plays a pivotal role in building a company that is revolutionizing water and flood management with data and information, positioning it as a leader in the smart city revolution. Since co-founding the woman-owned company, Ms. Bruce has focused on setting the vision and strategy for growth, developing patents, business processes and forging strategic partnerships.
In addition to her role at Simplicity, Ms. Bruce serves as President of Apollo Advisors, LLC, consulting firm specializing in financial restructuring. With a deep understanding of organizational dynamics, she continues to guide numerous startups and established firms in optimizing their operations and implementing strategic technology solutions.
Ms. Bruce previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at U.S. Legal Support, Inc. She also held various roles at Baylor College of Medicine, including Interim CIO and Chief Accounting Officer, where she led finance transformation initiatives and technology assessments.
Ms. Bruce’s career began at Enron, where she held several key positions, culminating in managing the valuation group during bankruptcy proceedings.
A certified public accountant and a graduate of Trinity University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Ms. Bruce has dedicated over two decades to stewardship in her community, with a focus on health, education and improving the lives of others. In addition to serving as President of the Church Council of Faith Lutheran Church in Bellaire, Texas, she Chaired the board of Legacy Community Health—a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC)—and served on the health care system’s Finance/Audit and Governance committees for many years. Ms. Bruce was deeply involved in the Christian Community Service Center (CCSC), holding leadership positions such as Board President and Endowment Board Chair. She was also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
